Dear
Children of Medjugorje, praised be Jesus and Mary!
1.
On September 2nd, Mirjana received her monthly apparition at the blue cross
surrounded by an immense crowd. After the apparition, she gave the following
message:
"Dear
children, I love you all. All of you, all of my children, all of you are in
my heart. All of you have my motherly love and I desire to lead all of you to
come to know God's joy. This is why I am calling you. I need humble apostles
who, with an open heart, will accept the Word of God and help others to
comprehend the meaning of their life along side God's word. To be able to do
this, my children, through prayer and fasting you must learn to listen with the
heart and to learn to keep submitting yourselves. You must learn to keep
rejecting everything that distances you from God's word and to yearn only for
that which draws you closer to it. Do not be afraid. I am here. You are not
alone. I am imploring the Hoy Spirit to renew and strengthen you. I am imploring
the Holy Spirit that, as you help others, you too may be healed. I am imploring
Him that, through Him, you may be God's children and my apostles."
Then with great concern Our Lady
said: "For the sake of Jesus, for the sake of my Son, love those whom He has
called and long for the blessing only from the hands which He has
consecrated. Do not permit evil to come to reign. Anew I repeat - only
along side your shepherds will my heart triumph. Do not permit evil to separate
you from your shepherds. Thank you."
2. An exceptional
visitation! I want to thank all those among you who have contributed for
years to make our garden a congenial place to receive pilgrims coming to
Medjugorje. In the letter to the Hebrews we read, "Do not neglect to show
hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares,"
(13:2).
On August 28th, Heaven
reserved an exceptional visitation for us, a real grace! I asked Marija, the
visionary, to come to our garden and receive her 6:40 apparition there so that
we could invite all of our Croatian neighbors. Marija accepted and Our Lady came
to our garden, which is now familiar to so many pilgrims.
The apparition took place
near the big, white crucifix behind our house. Usually when the moment of the
apparition arrives, the visionaries choose to kneel before a Crucifix while
waiting for her. Our Lady told the visionaries that where there is the Cross of
her Son, she too is there, beside Him.
On that day, pilgrims from
all countries and languages flocked to the garden, some squatting there 4 hours
ahead of time (Italians!). The small woods was packed with people and just as
many were behind Marija, including 25 priests (see link for pictures)! We
prepared for the coming of Our Lady with songs, and many mysteries of the rosary
in several languages among them Hebrew, Arabic, Hungarian, Slovak, etc.
Instead of kneeling on the
platform that we had prepared for her, Marija knelt down on the gravel in front
of the Crucifix. During the Peace Rosary, after the 7th Our Father,
Hail Mary and Glory Be, Marija's voice stopped and we understood that Our Lady
was appearing. A great silence seized us. The Gospa stayed longer than usual.
Everyone was able to offer her an ardent and intimate prayer, and experience a
real encounter with their Mother in Heaven. Be assured that we even prayed for
you, and that the letters you sent were placed at the foot of the Crucifix.
When the apparition was
over Marija explained, "When the Gospa arrived, she greeted all of us and
blessed us. I entrusted to her all of your intentions, needs, families, and all
those you carry in your hearts. Then the Gospa prayed over us for a long time
in her maternal language. Then she gave the following message, 'Dear
Children, pray, pray, pray!'"
Marija's disposition was
very serious. She exhorted us to pray much more because, she said, we are living
in a crucial moment for peace in the Middle East. For peace must first start in
our hearts, then our personal conversions will allow for peace among nations to
move forward.
On August 28th
we received more than an angel, it was the Mother of God that we welcomed in our
place. May she be blessed forever for it!
3.
Warning! A fake message has been circulating around the internet for
five years and has resurfaced with a vengeance! It has to do with a war and has
caused a lot of unrest among those who keep up with the events in Medjugorje.
The message has been attributed to Ivan, but he has denied it, and is upset that
his name has been used to disseminate a fake message. It is important to
remember that the messages given to Ivan by Our Lady on the mountain are
verifiable because they are recorded and copied.
Our
Lady speaks clearly to the world every month in her messages of the
25th and the 2nd, why should she deliver another message
"behind the curtain" on such a crucial subject? In addition, when we read this
fake message we can see it is a fake a mile away because it is not at all the
style of the Gospa in Medjugorje. May everyone refute this mistake when it comes
to him because instead of peace it sows trouble. It also harms Medjugorje
because it is both distressing and alarming.
For
a long time Our Lady has been inviting us to pray for peace, first in our
hearts, then in our families and in the world. She also invites us to fast two
days a week on bread and water because those are the 2 most efficient means
against war. "Only through fasting and prayer can we prevent wars, stop wars and
suspend natural laws," as she said several times.
Dear
brothers and sisters, let's not waste our time talking about messages that do
not exist and sow fear. Rather, let's use our time to fight against the war
putting into practice what Heaven gives us through Jesus in the Gospel and
through His Mother in Medjugorje. It is true that today it is urgent! May those
people be blessed who have faithfully prayed and fasted for peace without
waiting for an alarming message. May those people also be blessed who found this
fake message, believed in it, and immediately began to pray and fast. The Gospa
has certainly heard each one of us!
4.
Vicka returned from her pilgrimage in Israel delighted. With a group of
about 650 pilgrims from five continents, this was Vicka's 8th time to
Israel. It was led by Msgr. Leonard, Cardinal of Belgium. The first stop of the
journey was in Nazareth where Vicka received her apparition of Our Lady in the
same place that Mary of Nazareth received her apparition of the angel Gabriel
announcing that she would bring forth a Son. Later, in Milya, Galilee, in the
presence of around 12,000 people of all religions, Mary appeared again to her.
Then the apparition was received in Bethlehem with about 5,000 people
present.
In the
past, when Vicka went to Israel it was important that she go incognito. But this
time she did not remain hidden. Instead, we knew months in advance that she
would go, which increased the number of pilgrims, even among the local
population in Israel! According to Vicka, the Mother of God appeared very joyful
and happy. It doesn't seem that she gave a particular message, but the great joy
that she expressed in front of the gathering of her children - Jews, Muslims,
Christians, and atheists alike - is already a beautiful sign of her universal,
maternal love. An intense prayer for peace arose from their hearts.
On the
9th of September, Vicka reemerged as a witness to the pilgrims
gathered in great number at the orphanage of Sr. Cornelia, where she joyfully
encounters groups near her house. Let's pray that her health permits her to
remain with us for a long time.
Dear
Gospa, Queen of Peace, thank you for showing us the way. We want to hold your
hand more firmly than ever. Lead us in security among the storms of this world
without peace!
